Did you know that you can contribute to creating face wrinkles without even knowing it?
There are multiple habits that we do every day, subconsciously causing lines, face wrinkles, double chin and tension.
- First of the habits, that is the most common one, is gesticulating and expressing emotions with our forehead. We all do this, some more and some less, but if we don’t pay attention to it and do not do something to prevent it, it can seriously affect our forehead. With age our organism produces less collagen and elastin and it’s harder for the skin to repair itself. When you wrinkle and tense the forehead, you create face lines, which if you are younger mostly show only at that moment, but if you are over 25/30 years old, they become more visible and permanent.
What can we do to break this bad habit? - Pay attention not to gesticulate and wrinkles the forehead, be more aware of your gesticulation and try to relax the forehead, rather than to tens it.
- Second bad habit that is very common is looking down to your phone. While doing this you are creating double chin and lines on the jaw line. Gravity pulls everything down, our face skin too, and by wrinkling your chin you are making it worse, and same thing like in the first case, over 25/30 years old collagen and elastin production decreases, and without enough collagen and elastin it’s harder for the skin to get back to normal when you lift up your head and you get stuck with double chin and lines on the jaw line that are permanent.
What can we do to break this bad habit? - Lift your phone up to the level of your eyes and stop looking down wrinkling your chin, neck and jaw line.
- Third bad habit that is very common is sleeping on the side and this sounds so normal, but when you sleep on the side you wrinkle your face into the pillow and if you are over 25/30 years old collagen and elastin production decreases and lines stay permanent. Did you wake up sometimes with a “tattoo” on your face from the pillow?
What can we do to break this bad habit? - Try sleeping on the back if you can, at least to fall asleep on the back. Also use silk pillowcase, rather than cotton, because cotton dries face skin and wrinkles and silk is smooth, doesn’t wrinkle, doesn’t leave lines on your face, it’s antiallergic and doesn’t dry the skin.
